Today the trees cried
When the earth let out a sigh
Blushing their shades of brown,
The sky closed its eyes
As the storm clouds passed by
The earth never making a sound.
As the mercury drops
The burning sun stops
Pausing to catch a breath...
Until the sun shuns the moon
And blazes in June
And seat belts singe fingers again.
Lemonade stands will rise
And the winter coats will hide
In closets, in basements, in cars
We'll sing on the beach!
And dance in the streets!
I miss you summer,
Please come back to my arms...
