Cobblestone Reflections

For the sake of good graces,
These hands have been open
Memorizing faces with touch,
Loosening the clutch of acquaintance.
Patience,
The faintest glow.
If I ever did know a candle's light,
It blushed her cheeks on colder nights.
Too bad we don't live in a brave new world.
Instant gratification is hard to find
And trust is the ultimate product of time.
Ticking tocks, the marksman is locked
But all the while in hesitation,
Selfish in absence or in consideration.
