I still didn't know any better
After months of retracing ghost lines,
Black wires that went through blacked out towns
To deliver a blacked out tone pressed against my ear,
The same that hadn't changed in at least a year;It hung from my heavy shoulder,
Keeping me warm every day I grew bolder.
Now I write this letter with poster markers
In hopes that your light is getting brighter,
Because my hopes are getting darker.
